As a DBT Therapist, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population. You will provide patients with behavioral and mental health treatments, including individual and group therapy, and intensive outpatient programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Complete diagnostic assessment, treatment planning and functional assessments and clinical session notes within established timeframe
Participate in weekly team consultation meetings
Initiate upon admission discharge planning in collaboration with the patient
Demonstrates skill of writing individualized, behavioral & measurable treatment goals based upon information on psychosocial assessment and psychiatric evaluation
Conduct group therapy sessions. Conduct individual and/or family therapy sessions for every five group members in attendance
Provide real-time phone coaching to DBT clients.Coaching sessions could fall outside of normal business hours
Obtain insurance benefit information, authorization for treatment and perform ongoing utilization reviews
Demonstrate skill in documentation which meets all regulatory and DBT-PTSD standards. Files all progress notes in the medical record within 24 - 48 hours of the date of service
Responds appropriately to patient’s requests
Provides comprehensive education, instructions, and/or advocacy information designed to assist the patient and significant others to identify secure needed health care follow-up or next level of care services
Provides referring physicians and/or psychotherapists with weekly updates of patient’s compliance with and progress in treatment
Adheres to DBT-PTSD’s Policies and Procedures
Stay current with research and advancements in the field of therapy
Prepare and assist with audits when requested
Be a part of the DBT Team according to the guidelines outlined as a state-certified IOP DBT clinic (program)

Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field
Clear, active and unrestricted license (LICSW, LMFT, or LPCC) in the state of practice
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of professional social work / clinical experience post master’s degree
Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families
Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs)
Experience operating within outpatient clinic setting
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with equal effectiveness
Proven ability and willingness to provide services to adolescents
Proven ability and willingness to service patients primarily on an outpatient basis
Flexibility to meet when patients are available to meet, including minimum of one evening per week
Evidence of an elevated level of professionalism within the field
