POSITION SUMMARY: The Compliance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that Dominium's portfolio adheres to various affordable housing program regulations. This position specializes in the management and maintenance of compliance standards across multiple program types, including the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), Tax Exempt Bond, and HOME programs. Key responsibilities include conducting thorough quality control reviews and approvals of certification files, supporting site operations in maintaining compliance, and addressing any issues that arise. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of affordable housing regulations and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of compliance within the organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Accurately administers electronic file review, audit and approval in accordance with current affordable housing compliance requirements and policy under the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program (LIHTC), Tax Exempt Bond, HOME and other affordable housing programs in multiple states. Serves as a knowledgeable resource for site teams and Regional Managers by addressing inquiries about affordable housing program requirements through audit software, phone, or email. Provides ongoing support to site teams to ensure adherence to all affordable housing program compliance requirements. Demonstrates thorough understanding of current affordable compliance standards, staying updated on policy changes, particularly in the LIHTC, Tax Exempt Bond, and HOME programs. Conduct thorough onsite and virtual compliance file audits as needed to maintain program integrity Manages and meets deadlines for tasks tracked in the Corporate Compliance Workfront system. Performs detailed quality control audits of certification files approved at the site level, ensuring accuracy and compliance for move-ins QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 2 years of experience in affordable housing compliance, property management, or related field Accredited Affordable Housing certifications preferred Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with site teams and regional managers Yardi Software knowledge preferred Must reside in one of the following states: AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, NE, NM, NV, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WI.
