Community Financial Credit Union Team Member Work Support Specialist in Plymouth, Michigan

Position Summary: The Remote Work/Branch Support Specialist provides technical support to the credit union's Sales branch and remote team members. This individual is their primary contact for technology-related issues.

The minimum requirement for any team member of our company is to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others, with a commitment to a workplace of dignity and respect, in compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity standards and regulations. We also require, as a minimum standard, that all team members have the ability to accept direction and constructive criticism from supervisors and managers.

  1.  Schedule support jobs and ensure that they are completed.
  2.  Provide phone request support via the IT Hot Line help desk.
  3.  Assist team members with general troubleshooting; phone system support/administration; network issues; and other usage of computer systems.
  4.  Develop intranet content and IT documentation.
  5.  Solve system hardware and software malfunctions.
  6.  Assist Network Administrators with local branch server maintenance and upgrades.
  7.  Assist Network Administrators with maintaining and upgrading Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and Virtual Private Network software packages.
  8.  Purchase and track IT department office supplies.
  9.  Act as the primary contact for PC hardware and PC software installations for branch and remote work team members.
  10.  Perform other duties as directed by leadership.

Additional Functions and Responsibilities: 1.  Travel regularly to other branches.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Qualifications Required: 1.  High school diploma or equivalent. 2.  Intermediate knowledge of core systems with PC/server software and hardware. Qualifications Preferred: 1.  5 years of experience in an IT-related field or a help-desk type position. 2.  2 years of experience at a financial institution. Working Conditions: Work time includes weekend and after-hours time, based on organizational needs. This position works in-office where working conditions, lighting, temperature, audio, and work space are all sufficient. This position also works from home, where an appropriate work environment is required.

Physical Demands: Work requires the ability to constantly operate a computer and the ability to read, type, and communicate.
