Group Summary

The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. About the Role

Reporting to the Assistant Plant Controller, the Sr Accountant is responsible for establishing and maintaining the Financial Costing system including all Part Masters, BOM Routings, Machine & Labor Codes, Product Group Codes for both Manufactured Parts & Purchased Parts, Material, Labor & Machine Hour Standards. They will produce monthly reports for Management and maintain appropriate documentation to satisfy audits.

Your Responsibilities

  • Bank, Inventory, and Credit Card reconciliation

  • Month-end closing and general ledger (Interfacing & Posting) processing

  • Chart of Accounts Maintenance

  • Assist in the Budget Process

  • Various Account analysis

  • File and pay Sales and Use tax

Who we are looking for

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree required, or equivalent work experience

  • 3 - 5 years Accounting Experience required, preferably within the Automotive Industry

Your preferred qualifications

  • Understanding of general accounting and account reconciliation principles required

  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel required; Strong knowledge of Excel formulas considered an asset

  • Ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality

  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication

  • Strong organizational and prioritizing abilities

  • Preferable experience using Ideas, Trans4M or equivalent program experience
