Maintenance Mechanic - HVAC

Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic - HVAC will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures to maintain production and quality systems. This position includes performing diagnostics, repairs, and adjustments to various Roof Top Units, including Make-up Air Handlers and HVAC units, and may involve grounds maintenance. All work will be done in compliance with Federal, State, Local, Hazmat, and OSHA safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the facility Roof Top Units (HVAC and Make-Up Air Units), including PM’s, diagnostics, repairs, and adjustments.

  • Maintain and repair production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.

  • Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.

  • Perform a variety of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry functions.

  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.

  • Help with snow removal in the winter.

  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

  • Implement preventative maintenance measures.

  • Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.

  • Complete inspections of facilities.

  • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocol.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, Massachusetts.
