Insight Global Sales Engineer in Pleasanton, California

Job Description

The Service Sales Engineer is responsible for full life cycle sales business development and project management within the HVAC Controls construction industry. This individual will ensure project timelines and budgets are met while providing technical support in Building Automation Systems, Direct Digital Controls, HVAC Controls, and ALC systems.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the HVAC controls and construction sector

Oversee the full life cycle of controls projects, from initial sales through to project completion

Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are met

Utilize your knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS), Building Management, Direct Digital Controls (DDC), and HVAC Controls to support sales and project management activities

Demonstrate basic ALC system experience to effectively manage and troubleshoot control systems with the assistance of operational support teams such as Technicians and Project Engineers

Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure project quality and compliance with specification

Work Auth: Open

Direct Hire

Base Salary: $89,000 to $117,000 + commission

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of Sales Business Development experience within HVAC Controls Construction industry

Experience calling on end users, general contractors, or mechanical contractors

Ability to oversee the full life cycle of controls projects, from initial sales through to project completion

Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to deliver exceptional customer service

Technical experience:

Building Automation Systems (BAS)

Building Management

Direct Digital Controls (DDC)

HVAC Controls

Basic ALC System knowledge null
