Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in CNC program edits, setup, and operation, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality. Responsibilities
Operate, set up, and program CNC machines within specified tolerances following work instructions and in accordance with machine programs and engineering drawings.
Perform difficult CNC machinist work, including progressive machining of a variety of parts.
Conduct operations such as boring, milling, turning, recessing, and occasional profiling or contouring, involving recognized tool and fixture application and proven program format.
Manually cycle machine to check tooling and/or work alignment, clearances, stops, etc., to program specifications, and make adjustments to bring tolerances and finish requirements to specification.
Note and report variations in programs and sequence, position, cycle time, etc.
Perform and document required quality checks on completed parts using measuring instruments or gauges to ensure parts meet drawing/specification requirements.
Perform routine machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or support equipment.
Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner, observe safety rules and company policies.
Wear protective clothing, safety glasses, and hearing protection as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
3-5 years of previous experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
Experience in CNC Program edits, Mazatrol, and G-Code.
Experience in editing the progrmas for 2, 3, 4 & 5 axis vertical and horizontal milling equipment.
Ability to read blueprints and understand technical information, including spoken and written instructions in English.
Ability to read drawings and use calipers, micrometers, and other instruments used in the department.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
2+ years of blueprint reading experience.
2+ years of CNC setup experience.
2+ years of inspection experience.

Work Environment
The work schedule is 6am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday, with optional overtime available. Overtime can be an hour later or work on Saturday from 6am - 11am. The workplace requires wearing protective clothing, safety glasses, and hearing protection as needed.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.18/hr.
