Spectrum Plastics Master Clean Room Operator I in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
The Medical tubing extrusion operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion machinery to produce high-quality medical tubing products. This skilled and detail-oriented role will be essential in ensuring the precision, high quality and consistency of our manufacturing processes. This is a meticulous and detail-oriented position that is critical in maintaining the integrity and sterility of our medical products.
Key Functions:
Safety: Work safely, following all safety policies and proactively enforcing and participating in the safe work of others. Be a leading example of adherence to all internal safety procedures and policies to keep a clean and organized manufacturing environment.
Machine Operation: Set up, operate and monitor extrusion equipment to produce medical tubing according to specifications.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any issues with the extrusion process or equipment to minimize downtime and increase uptime.
Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of extrusion equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with cleanroom standards.
Quality Control: Perform regular inspections and measurements of extruded products to ensure they meet quality standards. Also collaborate with the quality control team to identify and report defects or issues with products.
Inspection: Conduct visual inspections of products to ensure they meet quality specifications before packaging.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production runs, including material usage, machine settings and any issues encountered.
Cleanroom Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to cleanroom protocols to prevent contamination.
Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels of packaging materials and report and shortages to the supervisor.
Compliance: Follow all Safety and regulatory guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment. (PPE)
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Previous experience operating extrusion equipment, preferably in a cleanroom or medical device manufacturing environment.
Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and product specifications
Attention to detail and precision of work
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team. English/ Spanish language is desired.
Basic computer skills or documentation purposes. MS Office and working in an ERP system
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift to 75 lbs. consistently and higher occasionally.
Ability to stand for extended periods
Manual dexterity to handle small components
Capable of working on 12-hour shifts, some weekends.
