Saint Luke's Medical Assistant in Platte City, Missouri

Job Description​

Saint Luke’s Health System Primary Clinics are looking for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to be an integral part of our provider team that delivers high quality patient-centered medical care to our community. This position is responsible for assisting providers in the evaluation, management and delivery of professional medical care in a busy multi-specialty physician practice. This position is located at the Primary Care office in Platte City, MO and is full time Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 7am-5:30pm.

Specific duties include

  • Provide an excellent patient experience by managing the flow of patients, providing excellent customer service, establishing rapport with patients and maintaining a professional demeanor.

· Conduct Pre-visit plans, room patients and obtain vitals

· Administer injections, coordinate vaccines, and draw labs

· Assist providers with procedures

· Utilize the EMR system and scan/download documents

· Complete various administrative tasks as needed such as prior authorizations, RX refills, etc.

· Conduct telephone screening (with protocols)

· Cover front office responsibilities as needed
