Job Requirements:

Reporting directly to the Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) Sector President, dotted line to the Integrated Mission Systems (IMS) Segment Sr. Director, Strategy, and as a member of the ISR Sector Leadership team, the Director, Strategy Development creates and drives the strategic direction of the ISR Sector. The successful candidate will lead the strategic planning process, assess market viability, prioritize investment direction, shape the portfolio, and will provide consulting expertise and project management for specific strategic activities. This role provides problem-solving leadership, conducts analysis and research, develops recommendations, and communicates well-articulated conclusions verbally and through written presentation material to the leadership team.

Essential Duties:

  • Lead the development of the annual Strategic Growth Plan process. Coordinate with Division leadership and Segment counterparts to ensure continuous alignment between strategies and investments.

  • Develop and iteratively improve a cohesive, long-term strategy that addresses market/customer needs, US and international budgets, technology development, differentiated solutions, customer relationships and organizational alignment.

  • Lead key projects to drive the ISR Sector’s overall strategy.

  • Provide market, portfolio and strategy thought leadership for the sector.

  • Analyze market intelligence and industry trends to provide competitive analysis. Evaluate internal capabilities to identify interrelationships and synergies among businesses. Craft go-to-market and monetization strategies for products/services and customer segments.

  • Create compelling executive-level business presentations to inform and facilitate decision-making. Translate complex technical and business information into visually-compelling and crisp messages.

  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend potential acquisition, strategic alliance, and joint venture partners to accelerate growth and market reach.

  • Cultivate strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

  • Evaluate and shape Sector portfolio through M&A activity.

  • Lead the development of CRAD capture plans that support the maritime technology road maps.

  • Other items as directed.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 15 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior experience.

  • Record of successful strategy development alongside an ability to influence teams and managers

  • Knowledge of domestic and international defense markets, budgets and government acquisition processes

  • Ability to think abstractly and analytically to provide in-depth analysis and recommendations to internal customers, teammates, and external constituencies

  • Powerful PowerPoint communication abilities; add-ins, graphics

  • Working acumen of the Airborne ISR domain (missions, platforms, capabilities, and associated technologies)

  • Analytically nimble and quick to pick up new analyses

  • Sharp, persuasive verbal and written communications

  • Team oriented; able to take direction and execute with minimal supervision

  • Strong executive presence as well as the ability to effectively influence and make recommendations at all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated promotion of open and productive collaboration and teamwork across multiple functions.

  • Must have current active Top Secret with SCI eligibility DoD Clearance and ability to maintain it, which requires US Citizenship

    Preferred Skills (beyond required):

  • MBA

  • Consulting experience

  • Top Secret or TS/SCI Clearance

  • Experience with management and visualization of opportunity data (CRM, Tableau)
