FANNIE MAE SF Operational Risk - Risk Management - Lead Associate (Flexible Hybrid) in Plano, Texas

Job Description As a valued colleague on our team, you will provide expert advice on, and guide team in, assessing and identifying potential risks that may threaten our reputation, safety, security, and/or financial success, as well as participate with key stakeholders across the enterprise and guide team in understanding business objectives.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The SF Operational Risk - Risk Management - Lead Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Identifying and assessing operational risks, including emerging risks, across the Single-Family organization.

  • Conducting and maintaining annual risk and control self-assessments.

  • Identifying and recommending internal controls to mitigate risk.

  • Analyzing data to identify problems and trends and develop remediation strategies.

  • Communicating risk to business areas and senior management.

  • Managing competing priorities and working across organizational boundaries.

  • Supporting the operational risk reporting process.

Qualifications THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experiences

  • 4 years

Desired Experiences

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent

  • At least two years of audit or risk management experience

Skills

  • Ability to influence through effective negotiating and persuasion.

  • Experience in facilitating meetings and resolving conflict.

  • Experience in the process of analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data.

  • Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel and PowerPoint

  • The group of skills related to Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders and customers; and building relationship networks.

  • Collaborating with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal

  • Experience helping an organization to plan and manage change in effort to meet strategic objectives.

  • Adept at managing project plans and resources to ensure successful project completion.

  • Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions.

  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally.

  • Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand.

  • Skilled in providing effective challenge to the business where appropriate.

  • Ability to problem solve and analyze with attention to detail.

  • Strong team and partnering skills and flexibility.

Tools

  • Experience using Archer/RiskWorks

  • Experience using SharePoint.

  • Skilled in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Skilled in Microsoft Teams
