Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Tax Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Senior Analyst.

Reporting to the Direct Tax Senior Manager, the person in this role will support the tax department's objective to comply with all aspects of income tax administration and ASC 740, Accounting for Income Taxes, for Toyota and its Subsidiaries.

What you’ll be doing

  • Preparation of the federal consolidated income tax return, state and local combined and separate income/franchise tax returns, and related tax payments.

  • Strategic audit defense of such returns.

  • Timely and accurate computations of ASC 740 including Tax Provision, Current and Deferred Income Taxes Payable, Effective Tax Rates, FIN 48 liabilities, State True-ups and State Net Operating Loss Carry forwards for Toyota’s Audited Financial Statements.

  • Dedication to enhancing efficiency and driving innovation through technology

  • Participate in various tax planning projects including Research & Experiment Credits, Foreign Tax Credits, Cost Segregation Studies, and other special projects.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

  • CPA License or related experience

  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently across with all levels of the company

  • Previous experience preparing federal and State consolidated income tax return at a corporate level.

Added bonus if you have

  • Graduate Degree with emphasis in Tax

  • Public Accounting experience

  • Experience in Fortune 100 Corporate Tax Department of end to end Tax Operations/Administration

  • A proven track record of business process and technology driven transformations in accounting and\or financial systems such as Corptax and SAP.
