Luminator Technology Group Senior Quality Assurance Engineer in Plano, Texas

Luminator Technology Group is looking to add a Senior Quality Assurance professional with expertise in automation and a strong attention to detail, you understand the importance of delivering reliable and high-performing solutions. We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our mobile video management applications for transit systems.

In this role, you will take ownership of developing and executing comprehensive testing strategies, driving automation efforts, and continually refining our QA processes to ensure top-tier performance and reliability.  This will be a hybrid role working out of our Plano, TX headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases that ensure the highest quality standards.

  • Spearhead automation efforts by leveraging industry-standard tools to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.

  • Collaborate closely with development teams to document, track, and resolve defects, driving continuous product improvement.

  • Execute rigorous system-level testing to ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of applications.

  • Evaluate and fortify system security by identifying vulnerabilities and enhancing safeguards.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of testing phases, defects, and overall QA processes.

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives within QA processes and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 7 years in Quality Assurance, with a strong emphasis on video management systems

  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, RTSP.

  • Experience with network configuration, troubleshooting for video streaming, VPNs, and firewall setups.

  • Proficiency with automation tools like Selenium, Appium, or custom frameworks.

  • Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Bash for automating test processes.

  • Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

  • Experience with security testing methodologies and tools.

  • Ability to set up and troubleshoot end-to-end test environments, including hardware (cameras, DVRs, networking equipment) and software applications.

  • Expertise in diagnosing and isolating issues across integrated hardware and software systems.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in managing and testing video systems within complex network environments.

  • Strong leadership and mentorship abilities, with a history of guiding junior QA engineers in advanced testing methodologies.
