Job Description

An employer is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to sit remotely. You will be joining the clients digital organization and leading two engineering teams responsible for a suite of applications. These applications range in function from franchisee tool kits, restaurant operations, etc. You will be leading these engineering efforts as you build out, optimize and scale the group. You will participate in architectural/ code reviews, strategy sessions and roadmaps. You will hire and mentor engineers as you grow the team and align their efforts with the larger, organizational objectives. Additional responsibilities will include acting as a point of escalation for any production issues, leading related project initiatives, track/ forecast budgetary items and process improvement.

Skills and Requirements

5-10 years experience in leading software engineering teams

10+ years experience in full stack software engineering

Ability to participate in hands on engineering efforts

Well versed in cloud based technology, AWS

Background in Java/ Spring Boot development

React/ Typescript skills

Containerization and CICD experience (Docker, Kubernetes, CircleCI)

Strong communication skills, able to drive initiatives/ collaborate with executive levels Ecommerce or restaurant industry experience null
