Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Linux Administrator to join one of our financial services partners within the Global Markets space in Plano, TX. You will be an SME in Linux Servers - supporting the infrastructure in this space, which will include troubleshooting servers, applications issues, database issues, and networking. On a day to day basis you will be managing and implementing end-to-end Linux based infrastructure that hosts many critical core components such as Database, GRID Computing, and Enterprise Job Schedulers Messaging Platforms. Ensuring application issues on supported infrastructures are addressed and proactively fixed before user impact. You will troubleshoot Production issues and identifying Root Cause Prevention as well provide governance to ensure you are fully compliant with the firms disaster recovery policies and standards. Supporting and monitoring application infrastructure and various internal core components and dependent technologies. You will provide some level of Capacity planning, conducting analysis of Core and LOB Infrastructure capacity reviews to ensure a sufficient level of infrastructure capacity, availability, and resiliency.

You will be work with different regional teams (AMERS, EMEA, etc.) and LOB's for coordinating Business Continuity testing as well identifying areas for improvements and prioritizing tasks internally so excellent operational skills are needed. This role requires 3rd Shift Working hours starting around 11:00am CST.

Skills and Requirements

-5-6+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator

-Python, Shell, Perl Scripting or knowledge of other scripting languages (Python desirable)

-Strong knowledge on infrastructure components (network, server, storage, messaging) based in Linux

-Strong troubleshooting/triage skills with deep diving and proactive approach.

-Good understanding of SDLC and ITIL framework with knowledge of Change and incident management

-Strong experience in real time monitoring technologies like ITRS, Splunk, Dynatrace etc. - Previous financial enterprise experience (highly preferred)

• Coming from cloud background- Preferably Azure null
