The Finance, Insights & Enterprise Solutions department brings insights and intelligence to inform decision making & drives digitalization and business solutions to attain NNI goals. The Position
Provide analytical support by proactively monitoring business developments; provides insights and analytics expertise, primarily through analysis of complex data, to help guide Novo Nordisk on portfolio, franchise, and brand strategy development and execution. Responsible for monitoring market trends, project coordination, and maintaining related tools focused on Novo Nordisk's US cardiometabolic brands and indications. Develop, refine, and update quantitative tracking models and systems, along with documented supporting assumptions to support strategic objectives. Develop communications materials including slides and reports reflecting clear and concise conclusions and recommendations for key stakeholders. Provide support to strategic insights into understanding of patient treatment dynamics and market performance as well as bring ability to triangulate multiple sources to develop innovative solutions to complex, unstructured problems with limited guidance.
Relationships
Reports to Semaglutide Analytics Director. Working in collaborating with other members of Semaglutide Insight and Analytics Center of Excellence; Internal relationships include close interactions with other cross functional colleagues in Commercial Insights & Analytics (CI&A), IT, Commercial Strategy and Marketing. External relationships include interactions with external data partners and consultants.

Demonstrate competencies across descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics
Establish effective partnerships by working closely and collaboratively with business partners and associates to ensure holistic, well designed, and integrated insights to provide pragmatic recommendations based on:
thorough analysis of internal and external business issues and environmental factors
careful assessment of available data and determination of knowledge gaps
translating data and information into trends with business
taking initiative and follow-through on insights to maximize results and knowledge base
Explore new ways to generate analytical insights through understanding of available datasets
Explore new tools to gain greater efficiencies in deriving analytical insights
Utilize existing analytic tools including Python, R, Alteryx, etc. to derive insights from complex data sources
Collaboration
Work seamlessly with other members of the Sema Integrated Analytics Team and Enterprise Analytics
Share learnings with all members of analytics community
Develop close and impactful relationships with data governance, patient privacy, and compliance departments
Effectively work with Data Strategy and IT to ensure data and technical resources are available for data exploration
Develop productive working relationships with Sales Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Advanced Analytics and Market Access Analytics
Communication
Develop impactful story lines to drive business decision making
Physical Requirements
0-10% overnight travel required. Approximately 5% overnight travel.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required with focus in Business, Analytics, Math, Science, or Engineering preferred (MBA or advanced degree a plus)
1-year relevant work experience in commercial pharmaceutical analytics function
Knowledge and understanding of IQVIA datasets (prior experience with longitudinal patient datasets such as LAAD) and/or other secondary industry sources preferred
Experience with statistical programming language (SQL, Python, R) preferred
Experience with BI/visualization tools is required (Tableau, Qlik, Power BI preferred)
Experience in mathematical modeling for prediction, clustering and classification preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
Ability to organize/manipulate data and see big picture from scattered pieces of information
Positive and eagerness to learn, collaborate and partner with internal business colleagues
