Lilly Associate Director - Pharmacist - Global Supply Chain in Plainfield, Indiana

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist with a background in managing pharmacy operations in an online or warehouse direct-to-patient environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations, and a commitment to patient safety and compliance. The position will support Global Supply Chain regarding all aspects of direct to patient pharmacy dispensing, including input on operational aspects, licensing and regulatory compliance, various process flows/models of pharmacy operations, acts of pharmacy knowledge across states, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide consultation and team support for technical and regulatory knowledge and activity regarding warehouse pharmacy.
Support Lilly commercial oversight and issue resolution including CAPAs for existing third party warehouse dispensing operations.
Work with Quality Assurance in ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations related to pharmacy practice, medication dispensing, and patient confidentiality.
Collaborate with internal teams (logistics, commercial operations, customer support, IT) to streamline processes and enhance patient satisfaction.
Provide guidance and support to external pharmacy staff/operations, addressing any operational challenges, in collaboration with commercial leadership.
Review and improve workflow processes to optimize efficiency and patient care.
Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements related to direct to patient pharmacy operations, translates those into operational changes to facilitate state of the art execution
-Ability to understand/improve processes and systems to support pharmacy dispensing including interfaces with supply planning, inbound distribution and last mile delivery aspects
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
Active Indiana pharmacist license in good standing, or ability to obtain an Indiana pharmacist license within 6 months of hire.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmacy operations, with at least 2 years in an online or warehouse pharmacy setting.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for online or warehouse-based pharmacies.
Additional Preferences:
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Supervisory experience preferred.
Experience with pharmacy management software and automated dispensing systems is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Experience with a variety of industry parcel systems and their associated tradeoffs/applications
Ability to influence and communicate across levels of technical experts, and GSC, manufacturing and commercial leadership.
