Please note that salary ranges are calculated based off levels of: relevant experience, education and certifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews donor record files to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with cGMP.

  • Assists management team in educating new donors on different Specialty Programs.

  • Trains and provides leadership to new/existing employees.

  • Assists in maintaining inventory levels, stocking supplies and opening and closing lots for usage.

  • Communicates with management regarding pertinent information regarding work areas.

  • Identifies areas of opportunity for continuous improvement within the reception area and assists in donor flow.

  • Maintains cleanliness of work area to ensure a clean and professional environment.

  • Performs donor identification, registration and screening; determines donor suitability according to cGMPs, DCOPs, CFR, PPTA standards, customer specifications and Company policies.

  • Must be able to draw vein and finger stick samples as required.

  • Maintains smooth and efficient flow of donors through registration and screening.

  • Must be competent in assessing pre-donation unsuitability signals, performing vital signs, HCT/TP testing, donor deferral and donor reaction management.

  • Coordinates with physician/physician substitutes for physicals, assessments, document review, SPE approval, NAT testing protocols, immunizations, etc.

  • Performs calibration and cleaning of equipment as required by pre-determined schedules and in accordance with DCOP’s.

  • Performs general clerical duties as required with attention to accuracy.

  • Must be computer literate and able to use DMS system for donor data entry.

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Available to work flexible and/or extended shifts.

  • Occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of computer equipment, and software.

  • Demonstrated accuracy in completing documentation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to tug, lift, and pull up to fifty (50) pounds.

  • Be able to bend, stoop or kneel.

  • Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
