Kitchen & Custodial Support Assistant Position at Benco Dental

Hours: 10am-6:30pm 4 hours in kitchen and 4 hours in custodial capacity

  Position Summary:

As a Kitchen Support Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting our facilities department in a dual role. This role will be 4 hours in our cafeteria kitchen and 4 hours in a custodial role. You will support our cafeteria staff during busy hours of the day. The other part of the role is maintaining the cleanliness of the building; replacing supplies/cleaning of restrooms; and removing trash. In winter, clearing snow from all doorways and salting as needed. Setting up meeting rooms to specifications based on event. Assist the facilities team as needed.

• Assist in kitchen preparing and distributing orders to associates during busy hours

• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment

• Clean restrooms on a regular basis to ensure a sanitary environment, including: stocking toiled paper, soap dispensers, paper towels, sanitary napkin machines, and cleaning of sinks/toilets/floors.

• Vacuum carpets as needed.

• Pick up trash/recycling from all areas for daily disposal.

• Dry/wet mop floors and stairwells as needed to ensure a clean appearance.

• Changes light bulbs as needed in a timely manner.

• Set up/clean up for meetings in our multiple meeting areas.

• Cleaning of water coolers and microwaves on a weekly basis.

• Perform general cleaning duties: dusting, windows, spills, etc.

• Efficiently cleans and prepares gas grills for department cookouts as scheduled.

• Effectively removes snow from all steps and sidewalks and applies snow/ice-melting materials to ensure associate safety.

• Perform grounds maintenance (trash pick up, week removal, etc.) as needed.

  Do YOU Meet These Requirements?

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

• 1-3 years of custodial experience is preferred

• 1 year of kitchen/dining experience is preferred
