Please note that salary ranges are calculated based off levels of: relevant experience, education and certifications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works with all departments in the Center to process donors in a timely manner.

  • Cross train in Screening, Phlebotomy, and Processing working knowledge

  • Assists in proper setup of new donors and process new donors.

  • Work with the Center Staff and Management to maximize plasma donations and manage product mix in accordance with Company goals.

  • Maintain effective customer service skills to assist in achieving high performance from staff and the highest quality of donor service.

  • Act as a resource in resolving donor center issues and individual donor concerns through problem analysis and resolution.

  • Proactively seek ways to improve workflow, including identification of better ways to provide value-added customer service.

  • Coach employees in all reception policies and procedures, including cross training of other associates, and conduct ongoing customer service reviews.

  • Move donors effectively through the process as is necessary.

  • Assess donor and product flow from the reception area through to the placement of product in processing.

  • Assess reception coverage and phlebotomy staff coverage and notify supervisor or Management when changes are needed.

  • Assist in identifying donors and assist in notifying staff that will be prepping the donor and /or performing the venipuncture.

  • Perform double checks of setups and verify donor weight is entered correctly in the NexSys in accordance with SOP.

  • Assist in take down of donors prior to their release and guiding them through the payment process. Work with donors on any payment questions with WireCard system.

  • Assist to move product from donor beds promptly after collection to processing noting collection time in accordance with DCOP.

  • Assist in identifying donors that have any adverse reactions and notify staff as is necessary.

  • Assist supervisors and management in collecting any documentation necessary relating to medical incidences.

  • Provide administrative assistance relating to the needs of the Donor Center such as, shipping and receiving and supplies management, (i.e. activating lots, lots in use)

  • Manage all in-house and corporate advertisings at the center; in conjunction with Center Management, create and promote in-house campaigns.

  • Distribute and hang flyers in local community & companies and work with Management Team to develop Monthly in-house campaigns. 

  • In conjunction with the Center Manager, maintain sustainable production growth.

  • Monitor and understand operational KPIs; in conjunction with Center Management, drive operational initiatives within the center amongst both center staff and donors.

  • Perform and track donor callbacks and call lists

  • Any other duties as is required by Donor Center Management.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Previous work experience demonstrating decision making ability, ability to effectively communicate with and positively influence people, conflict resolution and customer service strongly preferred.

  • Basic computer, typing, and mathematical skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Three to five years of working experience in a related field preferred.

  • Excellent people skills which extends to a diverse group individuals and demographics.

  • Ability to speak, read and write in English. Professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Ability to work day and evening hours, weekends, holidays and extended shifts on a frequent basis.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Ability to sit at workstation for extended periods of time.  

  • Ability to lift or carry at least 50 lbs. 

  • Be able to travel by plane and/or car to donor centers.

  • Occupational exposure to Blood Borne Pathogens.

  • Required to stand on a regular basis; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and talk or hear.

  • Required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop or kneel.

  • Ability to enter an environment with a temperature of -40°C for short periods of time.

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
