Staff Electrician Barrington Stage Company, an award-winning professional theatre company located in the heart of the Berkshires, is seeking a staff electrician to join our team in Pittsfield, MA. This position aids in ensuring high-quality lighting for every performance throughout the BSC 2025 season. This position requires an independent individual with knowledge of theatrical lighting systems who is able to work with a team to reach the artistic goals of the production. Responsibilities: - Assist in providing all lighting support for productions and events throughout the BSC 2025 season, as directed by the Lighting Supervisor - Assist in programming lighting computers and consoles as needed - Assist in repair notes throughout the runs of shows as needed - Assist with the hang, focus, and strike of lighting and projections instruments - Aid in the construction and wiring of specialty items such as light boxes, star drops, and LED Tape projects - Help maintain lighting instruments, lighting equipment and tools, projection equipment, video monitors, and cameras - Keep the electrics shop as well as the lighting booth for the venue clean and organized throughout the season - Assist in maintaining and updating lighting inventory throughout the season - Maintain a safe and healthy work environment Skills: - Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills - Knowledge of theatrical lighting systems and equipment - Working knowledge of the ETC family of lighting consoles - Experience with Hang and Focus from a light plot and designer instruction - Experience with DMX equipment, atmospherics, moving lights and LED fixtures - Experience maintaining and repairing conventional and moving lights - Working knowledge of theatrical rigging, electricity, wiring - Soldering experience - Ability to work as part of a team but also take on individual responsibilities - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds - Must be comfortable working at heights - Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Adobe Acrobat This position reports to the Lighting Supervisor and Assistant Lighting Supervisor. It is full-time, seasonal position Contract: 5/5/2025 through 9/21/2025 Pay is \$848.65 per week, non-exempt, with overtime at 50 hours, housing available.
