Sales and Use Tax Analyst - JR2418979  

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Sales and Use Tax Analyst, you will assist the Sales and Use Tax Manager with audit requests, maintaining and uploading compliance files for third-party outsourcing of returns and handling tax notices and payments. You will report to the Senior Manager, Sales & Use Tax. This is an ideal early-career opportunity to join PPG's Corporate Tax team!

Key Responsibilities  * Manage sales tax licenses and permits and perform Data Queries for sales tax files.  * Upload manual files to Deloitte Eroom and reconcile totals and oversee notices, inquiries, and tax bills.  * Update and mail sales tax rate changes monthly to AP and create various files for Puerto Rico financials.  * Prepare miscellaneous sales tax returns not outsourced, federal excise tax returns and check requests for outside AP provider.  * Help with miscellaneous account reconciliations and audit data requests

Qualifications  * High school diploma with at least 1 year of sales and use tax experience or a Bachelor's degree in accounting.  * Knowledge of corporate and business unit accounting procedures.  * Strong computer skills, including Excel, Access, and tax research software.  * Knowledge of Alteryx, CertCapture, or Taxware software experience is preferred.
