UPMC Program Assistant Supervisor - Neighborhood Living Program (Residential) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
NLP has nearly 30 years of experience serving the unsheltered BH population of Allegheny County. This is a unique opportunity to work as a Residential Assistant Program Supervisor, leading a team that is providing residential support on site as part of a multidisciplinary team to clients living in their own Single Room Occupancy units on the 4 th floor of the newly renovated Second Avenue Commons building.
The Program Assistant Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of consumer services and plans. Also, he/she is responsible for the specific duties listed below, when directed by supervisory staff and will complete supervisory responsibilities, under the direction of the Director, in the program supervisor’s absence.

Responsibilities:
In conjunction with Program Supervisor, Assistant Supervisor will assist and educate direct reports.
Reviews program budget on a monthly basis and practices fiscal conservatism when ordering supplies.
Assist Program Supervisor with various reports and payroll responsibilities.
Participates in the on-call rotation to meet program requirements.
Monitor consumer records to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with consumers, members of the treatment teams and other agency professionals.
Engages and supports consumers with their goals and individualized plans.
Coordinates staff schedule for 24 hours/7-day coverage, when necessary, facilitates and directs staff schedule changes to meet program needs.
Consults with families and consumers for collateral information.
Conducts and assists in planning therapeutic activities/groups.
Completes necessary documentation for referrals, admissions and discharges.
Completes documentation to include end of the month statistics such as population summaries and quality.
Assists with transporting consumers to scheduled appointments and activities as well as performing direct care responsibilities and maintaining a caseload, when necessary
Assists supervisor with maintaining employee training information and files for current and new employees. Assists supervisor with interviewing potential employees and onboarding of new hires. Assists in orientation/training for new staff under the direction of the Program Supervisor.
Assist Program Supervisor with applicable licensing visits.
Bachelor’s degree and (1) one year related experience.
Will consider any equivalent combination of experience and training as approved by regulatory bodies and Program Director.
Extensive knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
Extensive knowledge of theories, principles, and techniques related to services provided.
If applicable, familiarity with medication monitoring practices.
Knowledge of Microsoft word and Excel
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
Driver's License
Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
Act 33 with renewal
Act 34 with renewal
Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
