Prof. Badie Morsi is looking for a Part-Time Post Doctoral Associate to work in his lab.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform advanced reactor and process engineering, including the design, modeling, and optimization of industrial- and modular-scale processes for methane conversion via one-step or two-step processes.

Utilize advanced process design, techno-economic analysis TEA, and life cycle assessment LCA tools to evaluate the performance and scalability of proposed technologies.

Develop and apply custom and commercial computational fluid dynamics CFD models to simulate chemical processes.

Prepare technical reports, research papers, and presentations for conferences and peer-reviewed journals.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline.

Industrial experience in methane mitigation and conversion technologies, with a focus on modular, scalable processes for gas conversion.

Expertise in methene conversion technologies, process development, modeling, optimization, and scale-up using software such as Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Custom Modeler, and Aspen Adsorption.

Proficiency in empirical and CFD modeling using tools such as COMSOL and ANSYS.

Experience with additional software tools, including MATLAB, Python, SimaPro, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Demonstrated ability to conduct research and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.

A strong publication record in relevant fields.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency with advanced computation methods for industrial reactor design and process optimization.

Familiarity with literature on methane mitigation, with the ability to critically assess emerging trends and contribute to the development of novel solutions.

Experience in techno-economic assessment TEA and life cycle analysis LCA.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
