Robert Half Payroll Clerk in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Description

We are looking for a meticulous Payroll Clerk to join our team in the Steel Manufacturing industry located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As a Payroll Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing payroll functions, maintaining employee records, and processing various financial transactions. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Review, audit, and input dues payments efficiently.

• Balance and reconcile lock boxes and daily check runs.

• Liaise with employers and Local Unions to investigate discrepancies with payments.

• Verify, enter, and maintain banking information for Local Unions.

• Record and deposit miscellaneous cash receipts and manage electronic payments.

• Conduct audits and edits on expense vouchers.

• File monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports.

• Review, process, and enter invoices for payment.

• Create weekly check runs for accounts payable.

• Enter Political Action Committee (PAC) receipts and process payments for political contributions.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with ADP Workforce Now

• Knowledge of Ceridian and Dayforce software

• Proficiency in About Time software

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Auditing skills

• Familiarity with Benefit Functions

• Ability to work in a steel manufacturing environment

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Detail-oriented with high levels of accuracy

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
