General Dynamics Mission Systems Operations Analyst in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Reference #: 2025-65320 Basic Qualifications Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related scientific field such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Operations Research, or Computer Science. Also requires 15+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 13 years of job-related experience. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. As an Operations Analyst...

You will identify patterns and trends within battlefield environments that inform your operational analysis of interacting sensor, tracker, communication, and weapon systems for multi-domain, mission-level operations with the goal of applying your insightful observations to inform approaches, and support decision-making.

You will collaborate with experts in specific warfare domains and technologies to determine how to most effectively integrate key enablers and effects in a multi-domain environment.  You will perform operational analysis to discover trends, assess risks, inform options and trade-off analysis, and document uncertainties.

You will have the opportunity to present your analyses through white papers, briefings, and presentations to both technical specialists and pivotal decision makers.

Qualifications

Have a PhD or MS degree in a technical or scientific field such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Operations Research, or Computer Science and 13+ years of relevant experience

Experience working in and with Special Access communities is highly preferred, particularly in developing or integrating systems in - or across any combination of - Air, Space, Surface, Ground, Undersea, or Cyber warfare domains.

Understanding of military operations and the best ways to achieve desired outcomes based on given scenarios.

Understanding of military tactics, strategies, and trade-off considerations, ideally to include at the Combatant Command level.

Can effectively work in a highly collaborative environment as well as independently.

Must possess exceptional written and oral communication skills and have demonstrated experience authoring materials and presenting complex ideas to a variety of internal/external partners.

Have experience leading teams and efforts to include managing overall workflow, workload balancing, and supporting frequent internal/external engagements.

Have experience with using modeling and simulation tools and performing analysis.

Possess or can obtain a Top-Secret level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship

Target salary range: USD $247,808.00/Yr. - USD $268,136.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
