The Marketing Strategy Expert is responsible for leading high-priority strategic efforts that directly affect member acquisition, engagement, education, retention and/or provider communications. In addition to developing and executing strategic marketing activities/campaigns/tactics, the Marketing Strategy Expert must be able to multi-task, work well with internal clients and departments, maintain relationships with external vendors, interpret current and future business needs, assess member, provider and market response to health plan and competitor initiatives, improve process and cost-efficiency, and provide strategic input across all strategies and campaigns. All of this must align with and support goals and objectives. This role is intended to serve as a subject matter expert relative to area(s) covered. The Marketing Strategy Expert is an individual contributor and does not manage staff.
This is a full time position working Monday through Friday daylight hours and will be a remote position.
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic input across marketing strategies based on competitive analysis and market research.
Provide strategic direction for marketing activities that promote the member value proposition and retention efforts.
Maintain relationships and ensure strategic success with external vendors.
Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.
Lead the development and implementation of strategic marketing campaigns that support retention and engagement efforts.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, increase productivity, and improve cost-efficiency across marketing campaigns and tactics.
Evaluate performance of each strategy, identify opportunities for enhancement/refinement, and provide continuous recommendations for how to further support retention goals
Ensure strategic alignment between the departmental goals and the development of marketing campaigns and messages.
Collaborate across various departments to assess member engagement opportunities that coincide with specific line of business/functional area programs and services.
Bachelor's degree required.
5-7 years experience with marketing campaign development and marketing materials development.
Knowledge of healthcare and expertise/specialization in retention and engagement.
Ability to interpret CMS marketing instructions, marketing reports, and analyses to take appropriate actions and make problem-solving decisions pertaining to marketing.
Demonstrated success collaborating between business units and identifying marketing needs/opportunities.
Demonstrated success executing marketing campaigns
.Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and research skills.
Excellent oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns and meet strict deadlines.
Ability to support and build relationships with many departments and external vendors.
Ability to streamline processes and identify opportunities to increase efficiency internally and with other business units/vendors.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to multi-task and work within a team environment.
Ability to work with senior management.
