Manager of Data Engineering, Confluence Technologies, Inc., Pittsburgh, PA. Maintain ownership over the Active Batch data automation platform. Manage the creation, promotion, and operation of all automation jobs within the platform. Develop key data initiatives. Develop roadmap planning process. Perform data analysis to drive the design of software products or data automation/ETL processes. Work closely with product management and data operations teams to increase operation efficiency and identify data issues. Serve as a subject matter expert on specification and internal development standards. Collaborate with database and application development teams to bolster existing products. Architect and consume APIs and microservices. Support the data operations team through identification, design, and construction of data management systems and tools. Build processes supporting data transformation and data structures. Evaluate solutions to technical problems.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree, in Information Systems, Information Systems Technologies, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and two (2) years of related work experience.

Must have two (2) years of experience with/in:

• Developing and designing solid, high-quality automated data processes using various tools, such as Active Batch Workload Automation System, SQL Server Integration Services and Python data libraries;
• Implementing contemporary data architectures, including a serverless master data repository in AWS and a data lake solution using Snowflake;
• Reviewing current data processes and automating them within a common framework;
• Working with on-premises data infrastructure for the purposes of migrating to AWS; and

• Improving data quality by designing and implementing data validation and transformation processes.
