Laboratory Specialist

 

A laboratory specialist is needed to assist and support the operations of the Pittsburgh Phage Program, which offers bacteriophage therapy to treat antibiotic-resistant infections in infected patients. The specialist will assist with screening bacterial strains for phage susceptibility, manufacturing phage for clinical use, and processing biospecimens collected from patients who receive this new therapeutic modality.

 

Interest in microbiology, infectious diseases, and bacteriophage therapy. Masters degree in biological sciences or a related field preferred. Prior experience working in a laboratory setting preferred. Flexible on degree specifics if experience can be compensated.
