Laboratory Research Technician II Job Summary

Performs a variety of laboratory experiments and procedures. Prepares specimens. Oversees supply management. Operates and properly maintains equipment.

Essential Functions

Perform a variety of laboratory experiments such as imaging, histology, molecular and cellular techniques, small animal surgical procedures, and cell culture-related techniques

Perform related technical functions, testing, troubleshooting, analysis, and ensure conformity to protocol specifications

Oversee management of laboratory supplies including ordering, procurement, tracking estimates, and receiving items

Operate, maintain, calibrate, clean, and test sterility of applicable laboratory equipment related to job functions

Keep detailed, accurate, and timely data and log books to organize and document results

Physical Effort

Incumbent must be able to stand to perform duties. Some walking is necessary between laboratories and collaborators.
