Job Description
A test engineer working on PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) for industrial automation systems typically follows a structured daily process to ensure the reliability and functionality of the systems. Heres a general outline of their daily activities:
Morning Routine
Review Schedule and Priorities: Start the day by reviewing the testing schedule, priorities, and any updates from the previous day.
Team Meeting: Participate in a daily stand-up meeting to discuss progress, challenges, and plans for the day.
Testing Preparation
Setup Test Environment: Ensure that all testing equipment and software are properly set up and calibrated.
Review Test Plans: Go through the test plans and procedures to understand the specific tests to be conducted.
Testing Execution
Perform Tests: Conduct various tests on the PCBs, such as functional testing, stress testing, and environmental testing.
Data Collection: Record test results meticulously, noting any anomalies or failures.
Analysis and Troubleshooting
Analyze Results: Analyze the test data to identify any issues or patterns.
Troubleshoot Issues: Work on troubleshooting and diagnosing any problems found during testing. This may involve collaborating with design engineers.
Documentation and Reporting
Document Findings: Document all test results, issues, and troubleshooting steps taken.

Skills and Requirements
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Test Engineer working on industrial electronic products at the board level (PCBA's)
BA in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering
Fluent in English & Spanish (reading, speaking, writing)
C/C++, VB/VC++ programming for automated testing & simulation
Understanding of MES systems/ shopfloor Traceability systems / Route Control systems
Experience using Oscilloscopes, Multimeters for signal analysis & measurements n/a null
