Information Science Part Time Instructor

The University of Pittsburgh School of Computing and Information seeks exceptional candidates for a Part-Time Instructor position. We are looking for an individual who can teach (and grade) a course in Machine Learning. This position is outside of the tenure stream and has a duration of one term.

Seeking an individual with professional experience in, or experience teaching about:

-Machine Learning, including algorithms of supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques

-Designing a machine learning system

-Overview of popular supervised learning methods, ranging from fundamental linear model up to ensemble methods

Required Qualifications:

Hold a PhD in Information Science, Computer Science or a related field by the start of the position.

Desired Qualifications:

-Demonstrated ability to teach at the graduate level.

-3-5 years experience teaching computational courses or five years experience in the area of Machine Learning
