SAP GTS Senior – Global Trade

Job Summary:

The SAP GTS Senior consultant in our Global Trade practice will use his/her experience and technical knowledge of SAP GTS to support the design and delivery of trade automation solutions to our clients through our different service offerings. The successful candidate will focus on identifying, designing, and delivering solutions that can solve various challenges in a client’s business operations.

The senior must be able to design and configure SAP GTS to meet client needs, requirements and expectations. A candidate must also be able to support client projects and our team of resources to deliver high-quality work products. You will collaborate and work with our global trade colleagues in other countries and regions to deliver SAP GTS technology solutions.

The role will require deep knowledge and experience designing, configuring, testing, and deploying SAP GTS technology solutions across a wide array of industries, including but not limited to: Oil & Gas, Life Sciences, Aerospace & Defense, Consumer Products & Retail, Technology, and durable goods Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support SAP GTS software implementation projects, working closely with technical implementation teams and consulting teams through major phases, including requirements, design, software configuration, system integration, testing, cutover and go-live.

  • Help to ensure key project components are in place such as setting up appropriate project organization, a clear statement of requirements and benefits, planning and scheduling project activities, controlling the execution of project plans, managing risk and quality, configuration management, and change control

  • Throughout an SAP GTS software implementation, the senior is responsible for:

  • Supporting project work streams and associated resources and deliverables

  • Collaborating and participating in functional and process requirement workshops with clients to define business, process and functional/data requirements related to global trade operations (imports, exports and localization requirements)

  • Supporting and participating in SAP GTS business and technical solution design workshops

  • Developing software implementation work products and deliverables

  • Configuring various aspects of SAP GTS functional modules and processes

  • Providing training to support end users and other key stakeholders on deployed functionality

  • Understand full suite of EY global trade service offerings and able to present to clients.

  • Keep informed of current global customs/trade developments and effectively apply knowledge to client situations.

  • Understand and keep informed of new SAP GTS functionalities to be applied as a client solution.

Qualifications, Education and Certification:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, International Business or a related field; a master's degree or JD highly preferred. Candidates possessing a US Customs Brokers license will be considered.

  • Approximately three or more years of related work experience in industry, a professional services firm, a Fortune 500 company or a major importer is helpful.

  • Proven experience (+4 years) in SAP GTS software implementation projects

  • Deep technical knowledge in configuring and testing SAP GTS.

  • Proficiency in a technology-enabled environment – experience with trade automation, global trade management systems/software and data analytic tools is highly sought after.

  • Foreign language capabilities highly encouraged.

  • Travel likely to be required; percentage will depend on location, skill set and individual projects.

  • Independently coaches, mentors and motivates project teams to influence a positive, accountable and collaborative approach.

  • Effectively communicates project expectations to all team members and stakeholders, including business representatives, partners, customers and consultants.

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $95,200 to $157,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $114,200 to $178,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
