Robert Half HR Generalist in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Description

We are in search of a dedicated HR Generalist to join our team in PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania. This role is vital to our operations, as it involves administering established HR policies and procedures in compliance with various laws and regulations. You will be the primary HR representative in employee and labor relations, handling sensitive information with utmost confidentiality and professionalism. The role also includes tasks such as benefits administration, talent acquisition support, corporate compliance, recordkeeping, and overseeing the integrity of our HRIS system.

Responsibilities:

• Administer established HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Act as the primary HR representative in employee and labor relations, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.

• Handle benefits administration for employee health and welfare plans, supporting processes in talent acquisition.

• Oversee corporate compliance and recordkeeping, ensuring the integrity of our HRIS system.

• Manage labor law compliance, and safety programs and initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with all new hire contingencies and throughout the employee life cycle.

• Administer and verify pre-employment assessments and background checks; coordinate pre-employment physicals and drug screening, where applicable.

• Prepare and maintain new hire packets and policy acknowledgements.

• Ensure compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification.

• Complete and verify onboarding and offboarding tasks in accordance with new hire, termination, and layoff checklists and procedures.

Skills:

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services, ADP WorkforceNow

• Experience with Ceridian, HRMS, About Time.

• Knowledge of Benefit Functions, Compensation Administration, Compliance, Employee Relations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the role of HR Generalist or similar

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Familiarity with HRMS

• Experience with About Time software

• Understanding of Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration

• Ability to ensure Compliance in all HR procedures

• Experience in handling Employee Relations

• Proficiency in using Ceridian software

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
