Job Title: Grinder Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual for the position of Grinder Operator. The ideal candidate will have experience in an industrial or warehouse setting that requires labor intensive work. You will be using a hand grinder to grind railroad knuckles in a very labor-intensive and hot environment.

Responsibilities

• Use a 45lb hand grinder to grind railroad knuckles.

• Shovel sand in the core room from the molding process.

• Perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.

• Assist the maintenance department by moving equipment, materials, and tools.

• Position castings on a workbench using a hoist.

• Visually inspect castings and note necessary work.

• Manually guide a grinder or chipping hammer along specified guidelines on the edge or surface of castings.

• Use production gauges to verify that the specifications of castings meet standards.

Work Environment

This is a hot and heavy industrial environment with large machines and molten metal-making equipment. The facility is also loud.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $45000.00/yr.

Company paid benefits for medical. Contriubition needed but minimal paid for dental and visiion. 401k match up to 6 percent after the first year.

This is a fully onsite position in Pittsburgh,PA.
