Engagement Coordinator

 

The University of Pittsburgh's Center for Research on Health Care in the Department of Medicine, Division of General Medicine is looking for a Clinical Research Coordinator CRC. The CRC will be responsible for supporting the TREETOP Research Center which is an NIH-funded center under the direction of the Principal Investigators PIs and the Research Director.

With a focus on health equity and implementation science, TREETOP works on developing effective, equitable, and sustainable interventions for chronic pain and OUD/opioid misuse with a focus on rural and Black communities who are disproportionally impacted by these issues and generally receive less-equitable clinical treatment than other communities.

The incumbent's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Recruit and screen participants according to study criteria.
  • Schedule and coordinate participant interviews, surveys, or other research activities.
  • Address participant queries and provide support throughout their involvement in the study.
  • Enter data and ensure compliance with data protection regulations and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ensure research activities comply with institutional, local, and federal regulations.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the research team. Job Summary

Assists with and adheres to Institutional Review Board IRB renewal, modification, and approved protocols. Recruits research subjects and conducts interviews and research assessments.

Essential Functions

Requires the ability to visualize a computer screen, to work with computer hardware and software, to communicate verbally and in writing, and to use a phone. The candidate must have strong working knowledge of English.

Physical Effort

Position is mostly sedentary work.
