Position Title: Employment Processing Specialist (Employment Recruitment Specialist) (Reg FT)

General Summary: This position's primary focus is handling aspects of the hiring process.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and a minimum of two years of related experience; or an associate's degree (or equivalent credits) and a minimum of four years of related experience. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills required. Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Previous experience or ability to quickly master an applicant tracking and HRIS system.

Duties:

  1. Coordinates and handles hiring, employment related services or processes, including temporary employment services. Assists with the job requisition process as needed.

  2. Processes internal paperwork, and ensures proper approvals; reviews and handles temporary part-time assignment forms and provides assignment letters; keeps employee records up-to-date by processing employee status changes in a timely fashion.

  3. Responsible for the maintenance, creation of content, system upgrades and provide training for the applicant tracking system.

  4. Responds to requests for information or directions as needed, conducts research, compiles, and analyzes data for special projects and various reports.

  5. Provides assistance and services to employees and external contacts in relation to employment and recruitment procedures.

  6. Performs specialized and/or confidential duties, including researching data, preparing reports, and conducting confidential processes. Maintains sensitive and confidential information included files, employment data, and electronic data utilizing HRIS database in compliance with applicable legal requirements.

  7. Attends and participates in job fairs and other recruiting events based on organizational need.

  8. Maintains and provides guidance to College personnel on the Hiring Guidelines as needed.

  9. Provides support or back-up responsibilities as needed in other human resources functional areas including, but not limited to, employee and labor relations, job evaluation, benefits administration, employee leaves administration, organizational development and training.

  10. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and College policies.

  11. Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

Clearances: Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and to be employed at the College The three clearances are Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Check.
