Sojourner House Director of Programs & Administration in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
The Director of Programs and Administration collaborates with the Executive Director to manage the organization's overall daily operations. The Director of Programs and Administration is responsible for providing leadership in developing and executing organizational strategies and policies: human resources initiatives, planning the use and purchase of materials and services, and long-term organizational planning.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Leadership: Serves as the officer in charge and chief spokesperson for Sojourner House (SJH) and Sojourner House MOMS in the absence of the Executive Director.
Staff Management: Provides leadership and management to all staff, ensuring programs are delivered with sensitivity and responsiveness to the cultural differences of individual clients.
Program Oversight: Ensures that appropriate programs and procedures are implemented to achieve the organizational goals established by the Executive Director, management staff, and board.
Strategic Planning and Plan Oversight: Collaborates with leaders to develop annual and long-term strategic plans, operating and capital budgets, and establishes policies and internal controls to safeguard the organization's financial resources.
Fundraising Collaboration: Partner with the Director of Advancement to achieve fundraising and public relations goals outlined in the annual budget and activity plans.
Operational Supervision: Supervises program management and daily operations for SJH/MOMS, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
Human Resources Collaboration: Collaborates with the human resources representative to develop and administer a comprehensive human resources system, including policy development, recruitment, and benefits administration.
Office Management: Partners with the Executive Administrative Assistant to manage overall office operations and procedures, negotiate contracts, and oversee consultant and vendor relationships.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university; master’s degree preferred.
10+ years' experience in senior-level management positions required
7+ years nonprofit experience required
Demonstrated experience in program development and implementation
Prior experience in strategic planning, development, marketing, and organizational development
Act 33/34 and FBI Clearances and valid PA driver's license with clean driving record
