DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Role description: Arcadis is seeking a Civil/Environmental Engineer to support an expanding portfolio of Energy Transition projects in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern regions of the United States with a focus on Pennsylvania. This position would encompass multiple sectors, including oil and gas, renewable energies, linear utilities, and rail and transit. The successful candidate will support environmental permitting projects and would be responsible for tasks related to developing site layouts, grading, hydraulic modeling, utility design, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control design. The position will require a candidate to work collaboratively with a diverse team and have the capacity to balance varying priorities. Arcadis offers a flexible working environment and follows a hybrid work structure. A successful candidate can expect to work remotely and from the office, as needed, based on demands of project and client teams.

Role accountabilities: As a Civil/Environmental Engineer 2, you will apply your technical knowledge to support a range of environmental permitting projects. You will be responsible for the development and planning of hydraulic modeling/calculations, erosion and sediment control evaluations and layout, and earthwork site design, as well as permit/construction-level drawings and details. You will also be responsible for preparing technical specifications and report writing for civil and environmental permitting. Therefore, you must have a strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling (e.g., HydroCAD, WinTR-55, PondPack, HEC-RAS), and an understanding of land development, erosion and sediment controls, and stormwater permitting

This role will primarily be office based; however, as needed, you will need to conduct field assignments, including assisting in the field with construction and inspections. This role will require the ability to travel up to 25%.

Required Qualifications:  * Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering or closely related field .  * Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam with an expectation of pursuing a Professional Engineer license.  * A minimum of 2 years experience with erosion and sediment control design and stormwater permitting.  * The ability to travel and work in the field to complete various inspections

Preferred Qualifications:  * Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control or ability to obtain in one year  * OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training  * Previous experience in civil/environmental consulting, including hydrologic/hydraulic modeling (e.g., HydroCAD, Win TR-55, PondPack, HEC-RAS)  * Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or other terrain modeling design software

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $70,800 - $106,200. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
