Civil Structural Engineer opportunity with a client located in the Pittsburg, PA area. This position will provide civil-structural engineering, technical expertise, and supervision to Transmission Substation engineering and design teams. You will provide civil-structural specific design and direction on complex engineering and technical challenges. The client is open to a broad range of translatable experiences. responsibilities:

• Provide civil-structural specific design and direction for Transmission Substation drawing packages (foundations, structural steel, bus and cable) to meet schedule and budget requirements.

• Provide work direction and oversight for designers and drafters.

• Support effort on specialized structural projects.

• Serve as a company representative on industry committees.

• Manage and work with structural designers and detailers to provide fabrication quality steel and concrete drawings.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or University in Civil Engineering (must be from an ABET accredited College).

• Approximately 5 or more years experience in power delivery, industrial and-or commercial structural engineering

• PE license or the ability to become licensed within a year

• Proficient with AutoCAD and-or Microstation design software (Inventor 3D, Revit, or Civil 3D Microstation all a plus)

• Ability to understand and provide engineering and technical expertise on civil-structural drawing packages (foundations, structural steel, bus and cable) utilizing national code, industry standards and best practices.

• Willingness and ability to do site visits for every project

• Time management skills sufficient to manage multiple projects with various priorities and competing deadlines

• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
