Behavioral Research Specialist - Rizzo Lab
The Rizzo lab is seeking a Behavioral Research Specialist (Laboratory Research Technician II) to perform a variety of laboratory experiments and procedures. This includes but is not limited to preparing specimens, overseeing supply management, operating and maintaining lab equipment, and handling non-human primates.
Job Summary
Performs a variety of laboratory experiments and procedures. Prepares specimens. Oversees supply management. Operates and properly maintains equipment.
Essential Functions
Basic scientific laboratory work at the bench space. Repetitive pipetting, Handling non-human primates. Must have good eye to hand coordination, excellent visual acuity, and manual dexterity. Must be able to reach/stack consumables on shelves and occasionally move equipment.
Physical Effort
Must be able to move swiftly between testing rooms; be able to lift and carry 15 pounds.
