Are you looking for a fantastic career at Peoples? We have a great opportunity for an Associate Materials Management Specialist to join our team on a full-time, direct basis at our North Shore, PA location.

The Associate Supply Chain Materials Specialist will provide support for all areas of the supply chain function at Peoples.Specific areas of support will include materials management, Peoples materials integrated supplier, inventory counts, cycle counts and other activities of the materials management team.This entry level position will be expected to provide support for all areas of the supply chain function at Peoples including administrative support and document management.This will include supporting those directly responsible for resolving problems regarding material delivery, material stock, price discrepancies, quality issues, information tracking and invoice discrepancies.This position provides support for Peoples pipeline construction and Peoples pipeline maintenance department through support of Peoples integrated supplier and other key suppliers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Support physical inventory audits at Peoples field locations across our service territory. Support materials forecasting activities gathering internal and external information and communicating results to internal and external stakeholders. Support all oversight activities and monitoring of integrated materials supplier. Support updating and maintaining current material contract pricing information. Support all materials management and supply chain activities at Peoples through following and enforcing materials management and supply chain policies and procedures. This includes all activities relating to lead-time management, cycle counting, physical inventory, document management, training and other assigned areas by leadership. Support all customer service activities at Peoples including supporting key operations initiatives and supporting key corporate initiatives. Support all necessary actions to ensure the Peoples Supply Chain Department successfully meets all yearly goals and metrics for materials management and supply chain. Support the analysis of material usage patterns for planned and stocked items to ensure cost effective and adequate materials are available in a timely manner. Support the evaluation of vendor performance and recommend corrective action(s). Support the resolution of supply chain issues across all areas of Peoples business. Support problem solving activities to reduce product lead-times and to deliver on-time materials/services to all internal and external stakeholders. Support special projects as assigned and communicate results to internal and external stakeholders. Support the process of working with suppliers to address price discrepancies and quality issues. Support Peoples acquisition and integration activities as requested. Support general supply chain activities across Essential Utilities as requested by leadership Performs other assignments, as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Proficient in Microsoft Offic (Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Excellent written and verbal communications skills; communicate effectively (clearly, concisely and professionally) with internal customers

Strong customer service skills

Ability to work well under pressure

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

A team player able to work effectively in a team fostered multi-tasking environment

Knowledge in the areas of supply chain, business administration, operations, accounts payables, accounting, financial analysis, logistics, business law (specifically contract law), vendor management, inventory analysis and techniques and Peoples policies, procedures and standards are a plus

Working knowledge of SAP & SharePoint is a plus.

Strong customer service focus and negotiation, analytical and forecasting skills are preferred.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree required. Degree focused in supply chain, logistics or business related field preferred. 2 years of supply chain experience or experience in a related business field preferred. Valid driver's license required.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Perform sedentary work- exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
