Description
Server and Network Management:
Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of physical and virtual servers, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
Monitor network infrastructure to ensure stable connectivity, identifying and resolving network-related issues.
Administer network devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, to ensure efficient data flow and network security.
Perform routine backups and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard critical data and systems.
System Administration:
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various systems and applications.
Configure and maintain operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, or Unix, ensuring proper functionality and security.
Install and upgrade software applications, patches, and system updates, following best practices.
Implement and enforce security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software, to protect systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
Technical Support:
Respond to and resolve help desk tickets and user inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex technical problems and identify areas for improvement.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, processes, and procedures.
System Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and capacity planning to ensure optimal efficiency and scalability.
Identify and diagnose system bottlenecks and performance issues, implementing necessary adjustments and optimizations.
Conduct regular system performance and security audits, analyzing logs and reports to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks.
Implement and maintain system monitoring tools to proactively detect and resolve issues before they impact users.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
Work closely with vendors and service providers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in system administration, sharing knowledge with the team as appropriate.
Participate in on-call rotations and off-hours maintenance activities as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or a similar role in a complex IT environment.
Strong knowledge of server administration, networking concepts, and infrastructure management.
Proficiency in administering Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems.
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Solid understanding of Active Directory, LDAP, and identity management.
Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, or similar credentials are advantageous.
Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Systems Administrator role or similar.
• Proficiency in Cisco Technologies.
• Good understanding of Citrix Technologies.
• Solid experience with Cloud Technologies.
• Familiarity with Dell Technologies.
• Knowledge of Firewall Technologies.
• Experience with AB Testing.
• Proficiency in Active Directory.
• Familiarity with Backup Technologies.
• Experience with Cluster Analysis.
• Proficient in Computer Hardware.
• Experience in Disaster Recovery.
• Proficiency in VMware.
• Familiarity with Azure Active Directory.
• Experience with Load Balancer.
