Aircraft Services Team – Bell Piney Flats

Bring your experience and expertise and help lead the Bell Piney Flats Aircraft Services Team. This position will manage Aircraft Customization including production, safety, quality, and personnel.

What you’ll be doing as a Manager Aircraft Customization

Achieve Bell and Textron safety established goals for reportable incidents and lost time injuries.

Reflect and promote Textron, Bell, and Piney Flats values and behaviors.

Manage and administer the day-to-day customization activities to ensure all aspects of safety, quality, cost, and schedule are met.

Ensure compliance with Part 145 Repair Station and Quality Control Manual.

Coordinate cross functionally to prioritize deliverables to meet the needs of the business.

Oversee upkeep of shop equipment and tools and cleanliness of workstations.

Review and validate customizing budget with the Senior Aircraft Services Manager.

Prepare and present performance status and execution reports as required.

Provide span time estimates for proposed customizing projects.

Ensure personnel and resource requirements are identified, validated, and allocated to the correct areas to ensure on time completion of projects.

Lead and develop direct reports.

Qualifications

Skills You Bring To this Role

Understanding of and ability to enforce compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Regulationsand FAA requirements for 145 Repair Station Operations.

Experience in evaluating data and metrics to support capacity and headcount planning.

Ability to lead and develop cohesive teams.

Highly skilled in communication.

Proven ability to multitask in a high performing team culture environment.

What you need to be successful

10 years of experience maintaining, modifying, and repairing aircraft.

7 years supervisory experience leading and directing aircraft maintenance technicians.

5 years of administrative oversight of planning and scheduling aviation maintenance activities.

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Technical Field.

Preferred:

Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Power Plan certificate highly desired.

Advanced knowledge of aerospace industry manufacturing, modification, and customizing methods.

Prior work experience in engineering or technical position in aerospace related field.

Experience collaborating with dedicated, enthusiastic teams where differences in experiences, backgrounds, and ideas combined with a strong passion for our products take us above and beyond flight.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to squat, sit, craw, bend, stoop, and kneel under production aircraft

Ability to climb stairs, ladders and work stands

Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required

Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects

Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
