Licensed Respiratory Therapist Position

48 hours/pay -- Benefits

Available and willing to work weekends, rotating holidays

Day Shift -- 6:00am -- 12:00pm (hours are variable)

Scheurer Health, a critical access rural hospital, is seeking a Licensed Respiratory Therapist to work as a Part Time Respiratory Therapist in the Respiratory Therapy Department.  Respiratory therapist is responsible for performing the following:

• Patient assessments for appropriate, age-specific patient care planning.
• Perform oxygen and aerosol therapy both medicated and non-medicated.
• Perform Arterial Blood Gases, Pulse Oximetry, Electrocardiograms, as well as operate

and maintain corresponding equipment

• Perform Holter Monitoring and Stress Test
• Full knowledge to perform resuscitation techniques including airway maintenance,

assist patient ventilation by manual or mechanical devices, and circulation

maintenance.  Patient stabilization and transport for all ages.

• Basic personal computer skills a must

• Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system

   

All applicants must have completed an accredited respiratory therapy education program and successfully completed the National Board for Respiratory Care examination.  Licensure thru the State of Michigan required.  Current certifications for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and one-year experience are required.  This position requires some shifts of on-call.
