Job Description

We’re looking for a software engineer, who is highly adaptable, ready to learn any area, and has ability to design, develop and implement OCI cloud solutions in the distributed systems and data processing platforms. Experience in supporting cloud services with strong programming skills in Python, Java, JEE, Rest, Spring, Hibernate/eclipse link, JDBC, and understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, Springboot & Microservices. Cloud Infra development like knowledge of Terraform, scripting will be added advantage.

OAC is currently building a future-ready Gen2 cloud data management platform. At the core of this platform is the ‘Data and AI platform’, a modern AI-based data management platform that is built from the ground up, lies the Cloud Data Catalog, Cloud Data Integration, Data Access and several Oracle Cloud native services and solutions for enterprise data.

Your Responsibilities:

As an integral part of the OAC development team you will be responsible for the following,

  • Help drive the next-generation Data Services, with a focus on micro services; using Oracle standard tools, technology and development practices

  • Drive complex areas and do a detailed design of some components.

  • Working directly with architects to ensure newer capabilities are built by applying right design principles

  • Working with remote and geographically distributed teams to enable building the right products, using the right building blocks and making them consumable by other products easily

  • Be very technically hands-on and own/drive key end-to-end product/services

  • Ready to learn and jump into new areas and domains

Your Qualifications:

  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent related fields

  • Excellent coding and design skills in Python, Java and related technologies

  • Core Java, JEE, Rest, Spring, Hibernate/eclipse link, JDBC, Microservices, API Development, Springboot

  • Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)

  • Familiar with Java open-source and API standards

  • Previous experience of working with Apache Spark, Kafka and related technologies

  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies in a dynamic environment

  • Good organization, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Familiarity with the Agile process will be an added advantage

  • Prior experience in the Data services domain would be an added advantage

  • Exposure to Cloud development skills like knowledge of Terraform, Scripting is an added advantage

  • 5+ Years of experience

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
