We are looking for:

The Senior Process Engineer is the technology owner with an expertise in at least one of the following composite manufacturing technologies: Resin Mixing, Particle Manufacturing, Solution Prepreg, Hot Melt Prepreg, Film Coating, Adhesives Manufacturing, or Thermoplastics Manufacturing.

  • Subject matter expertise in the assigned composite manufacturing process.

  • Technical problem solving ability and experience with Six Sigma and Lean methodologies

  • Self-starter with the ability to direct and prioritize the work of multiple technical and non-technical team members

  • Ability to lead problem solving teams to address complex issues using the best industry practices and most cost effective solutions.

  • Strong and disciplined project management skills (scheduling, budgeting, etc )

  • Flexibility to travel to other site locations and work outside normal working hours as required by the projects.

  • Strong computer skills including: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project.

  • Strong data analytics skills using: JMP, Mini-tab, or similar tools.

  • Strong results orientation

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

You will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical) or Materials Science

  • Minimum 10 years Process Engineering experience

  • Industrial manufacturing experience in composite material / adhesive material manufacturing or other similar continuous web process industries (paper, film, foil, or textile industries)

  • Experience resolving product and process capability issues in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience managing small to mid-sized projects

  • Experience in coordinating production/development trials

  • Demonstrated collaboration across different sites and/or cross functional groups

  • Practical knowledge of Six Sigma including: DFSS (Design for Six Sigma), Quality Functional Deployment, Failure Mode Effects Analysis, process mapping, thought mapping, DOE, Lean and data collection/analysis; Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a plus.

  • Possess and champion a Health & Safety mindset

You will get:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $119,200 to $149,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.

Additional information:

  • This is a site-based role with the occasional remote working ability.

  • Travel to vendors and other Composite Materials sites is required with travel estimations at 25-50%.

  • The occasional night and weekend work may be required.
