ABOUT THE JOB:

This job is responsible for overseeing the US and Canadian collection activities. This position is also responsible for coordinating collection activities between Corporate and branch locations and implementing all WS-wide training programs and activities relating to collection processes and procedures. Provides guidance for high transaction volume teams with high levels of service orientation.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Oversee team workload and assignments of the collection team members with focus on achieving stated DSO objectives.

  • Train, mentor and monitor the team supervisors to insure that the best collection practices are consistently improved and maintained.

  • Evaluate and update department policies, procedures and processes to continuously improve collection outcomes.

  • Set KPIs focused on transaction volume activities, resource management, write-offs and DSO measurements.

  • Oversee the monthly Accounts Receivable review and reserve process and provide timely requisite information to the financial reporting team.

  • Represent and provide leadership for new system implementation projects relating to collections.

  • Manage the WS-wide education and training activities relating to collections and related systems.

  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with other WS team members to resolve customer issues requiring cross-functional responses.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business required.

  • 8+ years of experience in Collections and/or Operations leadership role. Other Shared Service experience preferred.

  • 10 years of leadership experience

  • Demonstrated results in growing matrix-based organizations, acquisitions, and process transformation,

  • Strong understanding of industry regulations, standards, and recommended practices as they pertain to our business.

  • Proven organizational leadership and negotiation skills. Demonstrated experience in problem solving, creativity, strategic thinking, fostering cooperation and teamwork.

  • Exceptional networking and customer service skills with both internal and external customers.

  • Ability to demonstrate professional two-way communication with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Strong knowledge working with Collections platforms. SAP and GetPaid preferred experience preferred.
