Thoracic Surgeon

The Norton Thoracic Institute (NTI) at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is seeking an ABTS BC/BE Thoracic Surgeon. The ideal candidate will have broad training, experience and expertise in all aspects of non-cardiac thoracic surgery, including minimally invasive surgical techniques. ECMO experience is desirable. Special interest in Lung Transplantation is also favorable but not a prerequisite. New grads will be considered. The Norton Thoracic Institute is affiliated with Creighton University School of Medicine, Phoenix Campus. An academic appointment is available.

Requirements:

• MD or DO degree

• Successful completion of ACGME approved General Surgery Residency and Thoracic Surgery Fellowship (or an I-6 Tract equivalent)

• Must have or be eligible for Arizona State medical licensure

• Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals

• A passion for providing excellent clinical care in a collaborative team based setting

• Willing to abide by and promote the values of Common Spirit Health
