The temporary Uniformed and Overseas Citizen Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) Clerk provides support to the Military and Overseas (MILOS) team approximately eight weeks prior to Election Day. In this role, you will perform voter research on specialized computer systems, distribute electronic balloting for Military & Overseas Voters, and assist voters with questions and troubleshooting, including performing data entry and assisting other divisions of the Elections Department.
This temporary UOCAVA Clerk position has first and second shifts available

Job Contributions
- Performs office support duties processing Federal Post Card Applications. (FPCA) for military and oversees voters
- Timely detailed data entry/research of received FPCA forms to ensure adherence with federal and state statutory requirements (24-hour turnaround)
- Works with computers transferring files between systems
- Scans FPCA forms that serve as alternate Voter Registration forms
- Flags military and overseas citizens ballots for production
- Supports the distribution of military and overseas ballots (by mail, fax, or electronically
- Assists with responding to incoming inquiries from MILOS voters regarding the process and submission requirements
- Assists with preparing returned MILOS ballots for disposition and duplication
- Assists with signature verification of returned voter Early Voting packets
- Assists with the Flagging of Early Voting Ballot requests
Working Conditions
- Full-time/Temporary/Overtime hours are mandatory during the election cycle.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Bend, Lifting, Pushing, and Pulling of up to 25 pounds
- Work primarily occurs in a business office setting
- Must demonstrate the ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast pace, and time-critical work environment
- Time management is essential in this position
